TAMU Central Clocktower

Today I visited one of the most iconic structures on the Texas A&M campus, the clock tower at the heart of campus. Looking back, it feels a little unfortunate that during my years at A&M, I hardly spent time in this plaza. No matter, because today I made it a point to observe the tower more closely. I’ve been practicing building forms and perspective, and each outing feels like I’m getting a little closer to capturing true likeness. I also gave the sky some attention; clouds in watercolor remain a daunting subject for me. A storm had just passed through, leaving the sky full of shifting texture, and I felt inspired to try. Thankfully, I had my umbrella with me!
