The Omega Bridge from Pajarito Mountain

I have been on a mission to draw the Omega Bridge in Los Alamos, though it is not easy to find a good vantage point. For a while I searched for the best view, and one day I thought I had found it coming down Pajarito Mountain. I stopped to sketch and counted four cars pulling over with the same idea, slowing for a photo while I sat on a rock above the road.

Later I decided this was not the view I had been searching for. I tried to push past those feelings, but I still am not a fan of the result. My partner, however, loves this sketch, and that is reason enough to share it. I will continue venturing out to find the view that feels right.

Micron pen and pencil on paper. About 40 min. sketch.
